Ameriquest all over again? (Countrywide)
Here we go again, if people remember back in the days with Ameriquest the largest Subprime lender a few years back under the gun for doing some fraudulent loan activity, now Countrywide the largest Subprime lender is under the gun now. Lets get real right now the Mortgage industry is under a tight microscope anyways with all the foreclosures running about and waiting to see what the rates are like now, hoping for a glimpse of hope in turning this economy around. I say Countrywide must be doing something good because all the fingers are trying to point to someone about the big subprime mortgage mess a few years back. Theres no such thing as bad publicity. Someone has to be the scapegoat and I guess Countrywide will be it. I hope everything goes well with the investigation, they might find a few hiccups down the road but I seriously doubt they will find that magical evidence that will shut down Countrywide down. |
