Flea Market Fire in Virginia Beach Virginia Beach, Virginia as a local I have always seen and went to Bills Flea Market here at the beach. Originally it was a huge warehouse called FX a sort of clone to Best Buy but they just couldn't beat Best Buy out of town, so they had all this space and eventually became a local Flea Market with a lot of local vendors who live here locally. Now this may not be much to the tourists but to us locals we considered this a place of interest to us. March 10th 2008 a local company called allied technologies who were adjacent to the flea market had equipment spark flames that eventually spread next door burning both business down. Saturday the local flea market vendors were out on the parking lot doing a fire sale to liquidate whats left what they had. This is very unfortunate for the community and such a tragedy to watch our locals go through this.
